...I love the sound & the vibration of the wood in my left hand & against my body. It is so comfortable to play...At $850 I got the best value I could possibly get, in fact with each playing I realize more & more what an incredible value I got. Thank you Gary Stroup!

Guitar suites my style very well. I am an intermediate jazz guitarist. I had a bartolini pickup installed and I mostly play it through a Marshall MG15RCD practice amp (Clean channel).
Sound is clear and clean as a whistle and I am extremely pleased with it. I gave it about a month before writing a review to see if my impression of the sound was based on "new guitar infatuation" and even after this cooling off period I am still amazed at how good it sounds.

Gary Stroup is a very nice guy. I had a number of conversations with him before purchasing the guitar and while the guitar was being made; his availability and support were both excellent

...There is no muddyness, no dead spots. The bass is strong, woody but never dull...In general the sound has lots of character and suits perfectly older jazz styles, it is also very good for 932525s, country and acoustic ballads...You can't find this character in modern furniture jazz boxes...

I've been playing for more than 30 years. I have some guitars...no one sounds like it, it has it's very own character... I love the individuality in sound, looks and construction...if you want a 30ies or 40ies sound with authority you play a Stroup and that's it.

I have been playing for 30 years on and off, and overall would rate this among the top two guitars I have had in my hands, and the best in terms of value for money. I am particularly pleased with the rich, natural sound and the look of the instrument. I would be happy to buy another Stroup (maybe straight acoustic next time).
